It's fun to play each entry of the series just to see how things changed over time. The games exist as completely separate identities on the disk, complete with their own title screen, character select screen, introduction, options menu and modes of play. Included in the PS2 title are all arcade Darkstalkers releases, listed here under their Japanese names: Vampire, Vampire Hunter, Vampire Savior, Vampire Hunter 2 and Vampire Savior 2. While the PSP Darkstalkers Chronicles game had some elements of a compilation, the PS2 game is the real deal. Based on our playtest of the recently released import, fans of the series can look forward to true, wait-free arcade perfection.
Capcom may have produced one of the finest compilations ever with Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection.
